And probably most other people won't understand your question. It is a physical server, so there is a physical copper cable running from that server to a port on an ethernet switch. That particular cable and switch port of course is dedicated, it cannot be shared. But the uplink from that switch will most certainly be oversubscribed and not dedicated which would be far to expensive and means that you share the uplink with several other servers connected to the same switch. Usually the uplink has more bandwidth than the access ports, for example Fe access ports and Gi uplinks, or 10G/40G/.. uplinks for Gi access ports, usually several of them aggregated to increase throughput and reliability. However the exact oversubscription ratio is some kind of a "hidden secret". Maybe @cociu can guarantee a minimum bandwidth available for each server? I myself do have a budget server connected with 100 Mbps and so far I had no network bottlenecks.

  • Hope you get some more storage servers up soon.

Is it possible to install Debian 9 on the VPS? Thanks.

  • cociucociu Member

for the server is 1gbps dedicated , this meen you can use for small time up to 1gbps but if you have traffic all day and all night you must to limit your speed to 500 mbps to avoid future problems.

@cociu The dedi offer is ofcourse great price/value.The downside of the offer for me is the HDD,because for some serious use, i woud want Raid (2 drives), and configurabe option to use hardware raid and ability to choose raid type (1 or 0). Next thing i am missing is configurable option, where i can purchase IPv4 subnet, so i purchase all in one, not needing to do 2 payments or contact support.

what you need is a custom offer in this case ...
