You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: package-cleanup --problems
package-cleanup --dupes
rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
The program package-cleanup is found in the yum-utils package.
YUM Gave Error... Trying Again...

Comments

  • Please do the following command, "yum -y install kernel-devel kernel-headers"
    This will install the required Kernel Headers dependency for you, If all else fails do a "--skip-broken" at the end of the command to see if it can bypass it.

    @jacob thanks :) its working.

    can you please tell me why i got this error? previously i install kloxo in centos in alienvps template and not getting any problem.but in hostigation centos 5. template i got this error.what was the reason mainly?

  • I am not sure but could be a minimal template so you basicly have to Install all the Packages / Dependencies your self.

    Additionally, look in your /etc/yum.conf file and see if Kloxo added anything regarding kernel-* to the exclude= line.

    One of our clients was unable to install lftp, a command line ftp client, because kloxo added ftp to the exclude= line.

  • Hi

    remove in your yum exclude kernel line

    this will not let you update the kernel via yum.

    Thank you
