Ignorance is bliss! but you are right 1p is for a penny - pence is more than 1 i.e. 2 or more.

  • Penny-Pennies

    PENNIES!!!!! :D

But... surely I can't pay with paypal xD

I don't like this offers because surely I won't be able to pay after the first month, so the server will be useless.

  • @speedy Thanks for correcting that, it's always the plural form of any language I forget about :)

  • @yomero said: paypal

redstation only accept credit card if i'm not wrong..

@DotVPS it was the additonal extras I picked, Like @DanielM said.

  • To any buyers, make sure you check the TOS, RedStation block a few ports which isn't mentioned on any of the order pages.

Other than that i cant recommend them enough!

Can easily get past this by using a VPN or similiar. :)

    they dont allow Bittorrent either..

  • oh wow, be on the lookout for VPS companies popping up with redstation servers
that will disappear after a month ;0

Soon every single topic here will be about bashing each other..

Granted some people deserve it but it's pretty annoying when topics are derailed.

  • Derailing every topic that @DotVPS posts in is quickly becoming both distracting and annoying. I do not condone any actions by anyone, but seriously, is it necessary to bring it up all the time like this?
    /rant

Back on topic: I really have no need to play with one of these for a month, otherwise I would be all over it. I wonder how many orders they get from people who have nmo intention of renewing.

  • It blows my mind that he's not banned. I suspect this is what he's going to get in every thread he posts in.

redstation has some odd rules in place. You get 100TB, but if you use your service for any kind of CDN, it gets limited to like 10 - 20TB.

But, wouldn't you say that the kind of person that needs 100TB is delivering some kind of content (videos/audio) anyways? With a policy like that it reminds me of all of the sketchy unlimited hosts. "You can have unlimited space, but you can only have 10 inodes"

Am wondering how they inforce this.. rather than the policy itself.

Probably check every server that uses > 10TB :)

I think its likely DPI or similar, Fasthosts use it.

Hrm but how can you tell CDN traffic from regular traffic? I mean the big case on WHT was a guy that had multiple boxes between him & softlayer with some jimmy rigged geoIP setup. He did his own syncing with rsync/etc but still got yelled at.

I dunno, very odd for sure.
