What do you think about this CPU? (with centos 7 OS)
Intel® Celeron® N3050?

Is it okay for make Nightly Rsync backups? So i want to backup one server to this little pc.

    Yes, should work fine. I run something like that, even encrypted, on an old AMD E-350 (2 core only, no HT, and a lot weaker than N 3050) and have no problems at all.

  • Umm I ran rsnapshot on a VM capped at 100Mhz. That's more than enough CPU.

  • I'm using a atom N2800 for hourly backup with rsync, no problems @all

  • If you don't need to compress your data, N3050 should be more than enough.

  • The N3050 should have plenty enough of processing power to be a backup server or a light media server if you want it to be one.
