So why do they lie about these outages? I opened a support ticket and they said forwarded to DC and will see what's wrong with your server. Delimiter sucks

  • K4Y5K4Y5 Member

Didn't you hear that they are switching billing portals?

Same: Ours has been up and down the last few days; ticket responses are exactly the same. We're lucky if we get a response within 24-hours, let alone a resolution.

Time to look for a new dedi provider. I know it's cheap, but it's not hard to update tickets with progress.

Hey! You can't blame someone for trying to make a living.

After their last outage, a deluge of refugee offers, and the pounding they took at LET, they HAD to diversify!

Ironically for once .... I am still up!

  • zikejizikeji Member

Oof. I used to have Delimiter but when they made an extremely desperate (after a few days of downtime on their cloud hosting offering) sales pitch to try and get me to colo with them I pulled out. Had a dedi + cloud hosting.

I just got an email from them saying sign up for the clearance servers now! because they are about to get out of the budget server market and won't offer those promos any more. If they really mean it, then good riddance.

I wonder if we’ll ever find out the secret of what was really going on at Delimiter, with all those shell companies in the U.K. and the highly mysterious parent company....

I have been getting spammed for over a year with that load of bullshit. They have been trying to peddle their 'clearance servers' saying that the offer was going to be the last. Guess what? Their last clearance offer keeps coming back again.. and again.. and again.. with lesser fucks given each time.

Anyway, with the way they operate along with the general lack of reliability and stability of their services, I doubt they'd make enough from the NotSoLowEnd market to even keep the lights on.

my renewal price got changed recently. I wont be renewing

First Payment Amount: $1788.00 USD Recurring Amount: $9216.00 USD

if they truly want out of the budget market, how are they going to cope with supporting "decent" customers

Still no response after 19 hours. Typical Delimiter.

  • CFarenceCFarence Member

When I last checked the gateway was still up, but neither the host nor the IPMI responds so must be chassis power failure...

Just speculation based on what I've seen so far

  • Mine is still running.

  • AlyssaDAlyssaD Member

Question, what model are all you running? Is it one of there dedicated servers that run inside of a blade chassis?

  • CFarenceCFarence Member

@AlyssaD said: Question, what model are all you running? Is it one of there dedicated servers that run inside of a blade chassis?

Not sure what model but it's know it's a blade

  • lazytlazyt Member

I'm on the J chassis both of my servers on it have been down since about 11 this morning.

Have I mentioned how much I hate auto correct recently?

Well now I'm down. I was watching everyone complain all day while my server was still up, but... doh!

I'm on a BL280 also. IPMI and server both non responsive.

  • AlyssaDAlyssaD Member

It sounds like there blades are having issues again. Which they have had issues with before.

Usually that is how it goes.. unless you expect your server to write you a formal letter with a 30 day notice period.

Mine came up this morning after 17 plus hours down. I'd love to know what happened this time.

Have I mentioned how much I hate auto correct recently?

  • I can't say I'm surprised about another downtime with Delimiter... People should realize that Delimiter really doesn't care and act as if they're doing you a favor by allowing you to be a client. I don't personally like their attitude of support which is why I never picked up a box with them.

Ask for the RFO and let us know.

"Oh sorry, our clearance servers don't have access to the RFO. Thanks though!"

Although that's probably more of a response any of ya'll would get. So glad I finally left them about a year ago; best decision made.

Seriously? Are they fucking retarded? Thanks for what? Going offline for 17 fucking hours and declining to provide something as basic as an RFO?

I wonder why would anyone do any business with them.

Would venture a guess that in excess of 99% of their customer base does not know what an RFO is.

  • CFarenceCFarence Member

And down again, I really need to finish the colo setup so I can drop delimiter
