We're gonna try something new - today we're running a special where everyone benefits by the more we sell. The more sales we make, the more PoPs we add to the plan. We're putting goals at 10, 15, 20, & 25... if we go over 25? Well, we have 140+ PoPs in total in our network. If that becomes a problem... :)

FAQs

Tell me more about CDN.net

We're owned and operating by OnApp, based out of London, England. CDN.net has support representatives in London, Kuala Lumpar, and Salt Lake City. We launched in 2013, and have been actively helping clients with the web performance problems every day since.

Can you tell me about your network?

We source our infrastructure through the OnApp federation, a marketplace of worldwide providers. Through this we're able to purchase bandwidth on a worldwide level, at discount rates. Many premium providers that are LowEndTalk 'favorites', like Clouvider, Total Server Solutions, Innoscale, & SoftLayer contribute to the OnApp federation marketplace. You're able to see our full network of locations we subscribe to here -> https://cdn.net/network/

Do you have PoPs in China?

Yes, we do! In fact, we can now help you source your ICP license to ensure your site is visible in China. Contact me at [email protected] for more info.

Do you do PAYG CDN?

Unfortunately no. We need to sell at a certain price to ensure the cost of support is covered. Likewise, a CDN is most effective when a site has steady traffic. If your site only has a small amount of traffic, I actually suggest focusing on optimizing the code, and images before implementing a CDN.

Any questions? Looking for a specific PoP? I'm flexible - Ping me: [email protected]

Would this be suitable for Plex?

EDIT: Probably not, by the looks of it, but that's not a deal breaker :)

I would like to know if the 1TB is monthly?

  • I see unlimited CDN zones. So does that means we can offer (resell) CDN service to our own customers?

That's pretty much what my plan is for my web design clients, I can now offer CDN for their websites :) (after I play around with it and get things working) I need to iron out some issues with redirection loops which I think are .htaccess files for www/https playing up, but I was able to add a few fresh domains and sites and it's working flawlessly for them.

I just need to know if the 1TB is monthly or for the lifetime of the account.. that will determine whether or not I would be likely to actually offer the service to my clients (for free at least)

  • I'd like to know if the Hong Kong pop have direct connection to China

1TB monthly, but no it would not work for Plex.

Yes, we have many doing that.

    It unfortunately does not.

    Excellent, thanks for the response!

I have just set up a website and need to get the shared SSL working, I have read through the FAQ etc and am about to open a ticket to get it added (I believe there is something you do on your end?)

If you're comfortable doing it, you can actually do it on your end. Inside of hb.cdn.net, there's a link that says "Login details." Click that - those details are your OnApp login details.

OnApp is the backend system that powers CDN.net. The control panel there is a bit more powerful than the HostBill frontend.

Login to cp2.cdn.net with the credentials shown there.

Inside of cp2, click resources, then choose the resource you want to add SSL to. Then hit the edit button in the upper right, and from there you can add SSL.

If you need help, just file a ticket and the guys will be able to help.

It took a bit, but welcome to Tampa boys! Just in time to enjoy spring break.

Fun fact, Busch Gardens Tampa was the first amusement park I'd ever been to https://buschgardens.com/tampa/

  • @OneApp_Terry did you have Singapore net location?

Yes we do have a Singapore location. Should we put that one in as the goal for 30 packages sold?

If you'd like guaranteed access to Singapore you'd have to go with one of our other plans.

  • i need Singapore. i hope it would help if I buy one. :)

  • I'll make a deal. We hit 20 and I'll add in Singapore & Mumbai.

We're at 15 sold - at 17 with both of you. Make it happen!

  • Wouldn't it be nice if you had a smaller offer that didn't include a TB of bandwidth?

No, sorry. Unfortunately we don't have the ability to pick specific PoPs on a resource by resource basis.
