Purely my own example and I am by far no expert but I've been using engintron for a few months and it seems to have random issues with SSL and 504 errors which I can't diagnose. I know the SSL issues have been discussed at large on their github and they say they are fixed but every so often (~10 days) it randomly stops working for SSL and throws out a whole lot of 504 errors which require engintron to be deactivated/reactivated or a reboot. I can't see anything jumping out of the logs of note.

Other's experience will surely be different but I'd test thoroughly if being used for production.

  • well gui of cpnginx is quite good, and easy for client to manage their website but it got problem with issue ssl for cpanel proxy subdomains
mail, webmai, cpanel, webdisk and etc but working for www and none www and physical subdomain

  • I am the developer of XtendWeb and XtendWeb is a vendor supported full stack replacement for apache as well as a proxy. Each domain can be individually switched to native-Nginx mode or you can proxy to Apache httpd. We offer a plethora of features like geo-loadbalanced wan clustering, High Availability, and the plugin code is 100% open source with collaborative development in Github . The rpm repository is subscription only and you get 24x7 support along with the subscription. There is also a 30 day no-questions-asked money back guarantee in case you do not like the software.

You can also try using Engintron. It also helps to integrate Nginx with your cPanel server.

  • XtendWeb is fully compatible with all cloudLinux technologies, AutoSSL,feeltSSL, MultiPHP, ipv6 and yes there is no issue with SSL on cpanel proxy domains
