According ripe.net database the ip addresses are GB / UK, as IP addresses can be assigned to different country. Nothing need to update, only knowledge of some people.

Having Ripe show its listed in UK an It being a UK Ip are two different things lol.

UK Ip people buy because they want it to be as close to them as possible, It showing itsa UK IP but routing to france, to be seems deceptive.

An p.s what you said would of been true, If that was the case but your ip isn't assigned to different country. (IP Location: France France Roubaix Ovh Systems)

Yes, it clearly stated that the server is located in France, as for IP addresses according to ripe.net database clearly shows the GB locations. I understand that server location is not UK, but I think it's clearly stated the location of it and I can't see any misleading.

    Ripe.net description:

    inetnum: 46.105.166.136 - 46.105.166.139

    netname: WebProject_network

    country: GB

  • Why you so aggressive? it's bad to host your servers in OVH datacenter on OVH servers? with your own IP's?
Only OVH provide ddos protection in France (in roubanix).
    Only OVH have same ttl\latency.
Why you so angry at me?

  • WebProjectWebProject Host Rep, Veteran

I am not angry, simply from previous experience, people converted my offer post into OVH discussion. I thought, if people want to discuss the OVH provider they can open separate topic?

  • Hi Boss, can I upload and use my own ISO to install, can I have a French IP?

We can upload any ISO and install the OS for you, regarding the IP it will be GB location.

  • It's kinda weird location in France and IP geolocation in Great Britain.
You would better choose the same location as for IP.

I am not prepared to discuss the locations, as I am not pointing how to run your own business to you - meaning: mine your own business! As the current customer getting benefits of both locations.

P.S. People with risk score 80% - 99% will asked to provide an ID, as we do verification using 3 different sources.

    Thanks, suggestion of the year.

  • @WebProject Hows your DDOS Protection hold up? Do you ever null route?

As it's choice to customers to have the DDOS protection enabled or auto protected, I host a few game servers and the DDOS protection show the results.

    Do you ever null route?

No, only for valid reason - reports and complains.
