Is not the same as a price decrease. With a price decrease, you pay less tomorrow than you pay today regardless of what is offered.
Having said that it's a win either way.
They shit all over Linode with the overall speed they are developing at and the features offered.
And if you think I am being in any way bias towards DO then have a search for other Linode related threads on here where I have been accused of working for them given the praise I have offered them over many years.
If you're unaware, as your reply to me implies to me that you might be, I'm a team lead for our support team at DigitalOcean. If you ever want to try us out come on over and I'll be more than happy to help you get set up with some account credit to see things for yourself. Certainly we're not perfect, we don't aim to be the least expensive, but we have a lot of personality and I think we might grow on you.
Remember, your money at DO also helps fund a wealth of tutorials that admins all over the world use to make their lives a little easier. There's a lot more to say about a company than X resources for Y dollars. But maybe those things are what matter most to you, and that's totally okay. No one's going to judge you for it. Heck, it's why most of us are on LET
Your wife must have very dominant genes.
That "beautiful" part cannot be coming from you. :-).

Not really, Linode is still often much faster.
Last time, I got E5 2630v0 at NYC3 and E5 2630L v2 at SGP1, and some v3 at SGP1 but I forgot the model
Much faster in what way? I am referring to the speed they are developing at, i.e, locations, features and so on, not comparing the speed of the nodes.
I'm sure he meant, processors/disks or something.. DigitalOcean definitely wins if it comes to improving or adding features.
Is this a price decrease. You tell us and @lee ! thanks
Hey, I resemble that remark. Also, it snowed here today, and you can't tell me that smile doesn't melt your heart: https://imgur.com/a/aHSmJ
Rather than settle a dispute about the proper use of a particular word, I'd rather ask you if there's any confusion over the changes today themselves. If you can see the prices clearly and understand what you are getting and how much you're paying, that's pretty much the end of the story for me. I'm not interested in whether it's an increase or decrease, so much as whether it meets the continued needs of my customers
... what a shrew salesperson you are...
I looked up shrew:
I'll accept this
:-)
Didn't realize that you get that much snow in that part of Texas. How high above sea level are you?
She's a cutie. You're going to have your hands MORE full in a decade and change!
Have started on your speech for the first boyfriend to come around. Best you start early to perfect it and also get your pitch and tone just right. Work on the deranged stare as well.
He'll come out in full flak with two handguns on each hip, a pair of tongs, and a rather large knife.
And the first words "Come down to the cellar with me"...
Or, perhaps the more sinister: "You've heard of Mr. Coffee; I'm Mr. Internet. I've seen your tumblr."
And God forbid if they coincidentally have the last name of Prout
My oldest daughters first turned out to be a girlfriend, I was totally pissed off, speech ruined, I could hardly tell the girl where I was going to hang her balls if she upset my little girl...
Well, you still could, but you'd be mansplaining.
It feels like "once per decade" is a reasonable estimation of how often it happens. I dunno about sea level, too far away to think about it
This is my rough draft:
Throw a guy a bullet and tell him if she's late the next one is thrown faster.
Weird how no one pointed out that it's actually 25gb on their cheapest plan...
Sorry for my mistake, it was midnight when I posted this. Thank you for correction
Also it's just 0,00000058382 BTC/hour, but it may be different next hour.
Wait for the per-second billing to start...
It's nice to see DO finally being competitive. I will be spending at least $20 more this month.
Regarding existing instances, will they be upgraded or does this only apply to new instances?
Edit: Resize apparently upgrades existing instances without loss of data.
Been playing with DO for a year on student credit. Finally needed a true dev-box and added some money. Immediately specs increased, so that's money well spent.
nicely done do!
