On KVM or Xen HVM i cant see why not, but i dont think you could run a virtual server inside an OpenVZ box.
Running a server within a server within a server. Might get stuck if you go that deep in server levels... Inception. =D
@VMPort: That is what I suspected too...but just figured it might be something fun to do, thanks for the comments
@AsuraHosting: Mmm...I need to somehow get myself out of the circle I guess
http://freevps.us/thread-2789.html It seems "posiible"
I cant answer for openvz but if you got the right hardware you can run esx inside vmware workstation. So I wouldnt be surprised if it was

deja vu!
uml.
@DotVPS
Correct, This is why it would work on Xen / KVM(I think) not OpenVZ.
I remember reading something near 2 years ago that you could run QEMU inside an OpenVZ container, though I haven't tried it, nor would I trust my memory... <_<
For me... is http://lmgtfy.com/?q=uml lol
Or this... http://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/UML
User Mode Linux... lol
I tried User Mode Linux on openvz before but it always gave segment faults...
Qemu on openvz works fine, but it's really slow (about 5x slower)...
Does anybody here successfully run User Mode Linux on openvz?
I don't have absolutely any idea on what is this, and how can I run it :P Any advice?
You know when we first started we had these chinese users that were doing that to run Windows XP inside their VM's.
It was really really confusing :P
Francisco
Proceeding to run windows now...
Yes, most Chinese users are only familiar with Windows...but actually I'm an exception, I just want to set up OpenVPN on a node without TUN/TAP enabled. If user mode linux works I will never use qemu...
By the way, if you can't get TUN/TAP enabled in your VPS, installing a system and OpenVPN in qemu really works. I've tested that on Qemu1.0 running Archlinux
I never thought it could be that useful.
Wow, interesting
I imagine providers might get angry if you try this.
@charliecron:
Of course they will, because qemu can't use the cpu based kvm addon, so it must emulate all with the cpu and it gets slow + high load.
Interesting, so QEMU is the way to go I guess, lemme research further on this but for now I think it is possible based on this post here:

@vld LMFAO
Exactly that is what I was going to say
