If the company loses its safe harbor, this will have implications for the broader hosting industry.
It would essentially mean that large hosting companies are responsible for the infringing content that their clients’ users upload or link to.
Imagine if you dont actively police your customers, any intellectual property damages they supposedly cause would be claimed from the provider instead.

It’s a court trial not an appeals case, so it’s barely started.
Also, Safe Harbor protects giant companies like Verizon, AT&T, etc. They will purchase justice if needed.

Not only that Amazon ,google and Microsoft all have cloud hosting , so they would not like this to pass .This is fight between entertainment and hosting industry
Which one is bigger? The hosting is basically the known internet while the entertainment is all we consume for fun.
amazon ceo is alone worth 100 billion USD. Obviously IT industry is very big. These big companies are not going to destroy their cloud business
microsoft is betting heavily on cloud as OS revenue share is losing .
