We might do something like that from time to time, but if we do, the occasions will be very rare. We don't necessarily want to be known for rock bottom prices as much as we want to be known for a good service at a good price. But your feed-back is important and something we will consider for future reference (in the spirit of LET).

Low profits will be a steady stream of orders, high prices will only make people can not afford.
Well coming from a strictly business perspective, any business that is looking at staying in business needs to keep a steady eye on profit margins. With these types of promos (and the reason they are not recurring) is because we do not make money on them unless a renewal occurs. Even then, these smaller starter accounts dont bring in much.
If we were to offer a promo where the discount was recurring in effect the promo would be a loss leader (which is ok, however the idea behind loss leader products would be increase awareness, along with creating opportunities for our business to create revenue elsewhere through some of our other services or standard packages.
With that being said, I do realize that this is LET and more often than not, the business side gets lost on the consumer as web hosting is very much looked at as a comodity by the consumer where the lowest price wins.
Nonethless, we actually do get a decent amount of business from the current promos on LET (and elsewhere) so although it is always great to get more clients, we are not desperate for them either.
I suppose that 9.99 will looks more attractive than 10.48, although they are only less-than-50cents different. Hehe
