Cheap dedicated in Poland (sale on serwerydedykowane.pl)

Cheap dedicated in Poland (sale on serwerydedykowane.pl)

rdesrdes Member
edited November 7 in General

If someone is looking for server in eastern Europe, there's a sale today on www.serwerydedykowane.pl, they giving 70% reccuring discount on all servers. For example, there's i5 with 8 GB RAM and 2 x 120 GB SSDs for 44.70 PLN (which is about 10 euro).

I don't know how they can afford such prices, but maybe someone will give it a try. I'm personally still wondering if I need another dedis, even that cheap ;).

Well, I tried to install an OS on it, it failed, they looking into that now.

If that is a scam, its a pretty good one.

But reminds me of Online.net/OneProvider selling cheap broken hardware that wont install.

Figured I'd roll the dice as well. Signed up for the i7/ssd/16gb and paid the invoice. Didn't get server details nor see anything in their control panel so talking with live chat now. Maybe they're getting a lot of chat requests right now because so far it's been a pretty slow back and forth. Will update if/when resolved/chargedback.

Update 1: Tomasz was able to get the server allocated and I see it in the control panel now. Will give the OS install a try when I get a chance.

Update 2: Got OS installed. Has a i7-4790k + a pair of these Kingston 120gb SSDs with just over a year of power on time each. Pretty fucking crazy for $13/mo. Let's see how long till they drop all of us and/or deadpool.

  • NeoonNeoon Member

Seems to be a lot of requests, the second order which I placed is delayed, the first was nearly instant.

Also ordered server (Intel i5) about 15 minutes ago but didn't get login details so far (they advertise 60 seconds delivery). There's only IP in billing panel but it's not even pinging.

You have to install an OS first, that's not done by default...

There's two control panels (one billing and one for managing server). I just get acces data to the second one, installing CentOS 7 now.

Now to figure out a way to combine the 2 disks into one, they don't seem to allow you to install yourself from an ISO.

Well you can select between Raid 1 and another option which does not mention Raid 1, I guess whats what you want.

I actually tried that first, I installed Ubuntu 17.04 without the RAID 1 in the title. I might try a different distro and see if that helps.
