Any downside of ordering from OVH Canada?

Now that OVH jacked up their prices, the Canadian website seems to be a bit cheaper than the US site. Is there any downside of ordering from the Canadian website if you're out of the US?

  • There is no difference beetween them. The CAD$ convertion to USD$, makes the canadian website a few dollar cheaper.

By ordering a VPS/Dedi located at Canada you don't pay VAT

If you have servers from the US site, will they all show up in the same control panel?

Yes, US uses the same manager as CA.

Just go to the canadian manager, and try to login. If it works, then you are fine. CA and FR require you to create two account, one for each.

I think Canada and a few of the European sites are country locked (can only have a billing address in that country when you create an account), the only ones you can order from internationally are .fr/.ie/.com if I'm not mistaken.

  • Isn't the .IE one still the cheapest?
