Requesting Reviews for BlueVM Shared Web Hosting

Hi,

I'm cheap (have never signed up for irc/web/vps without a discount/promo/coupon). I know I know "get what you pay for" but I don't have any serious use for irc/web/vps at the moment. plus its worked out well for me so far (im sure my hosts hates me tho). wouldn't blame bluevm if they increased the HOST1 price after reading this

anywho, I came across bluevm earlier this month, and saw they offer hosting for as low as $5/year to host unlimited domains (cPanel included). which is the best deal i have found so far for shared web hosting.

its so cheap i want it even if the service is horrible (side-effect of being cheap), but a small part of me would prefer to pay more for good service. how ever that small part of me doesn't want to pay more if i dont have too.

i am wondering if anyone has used bluevm shared web hosting in the last year? i've seen reviews for vps on google but nothing about the shared hosting

last week when i checked, they had 0 HOST1 available. today its 10. not sure if they restocked, overload, or had 10 cancellations

  • Their VPS service is pretty good, don't see why their shared hosting wouldn't be.

  • I have a shared hosting account (mainly to test stuff, but I have a website on it). We just added another shared hosting server recently, and we have space still on it. It's stable, and once we've gotten Neon (the Web Hosting CP Justin is working on when he's not working on Feathur) set up with multi-user support we'll probably move over to it. Our Shared Hosting works, and if you want to set up your own cPanel server, you can get a cPanel license from us for $11 per month.

4th option. We have overstock, we trickle it out because it doesn't sell as well when we advertise our heavy duty stock capacity.

  • I'm curious too. I plan to get one later this year when my other Web hosting plan ends.

  • thanks for quick response, another thing that bothers me is why is the reseller plan offering more for cheaper rate than host1

nevermind, just noticed host1 is annual reseller is monthly

  • $0.42 a month hosting without overloading also bothers me...

i dont know why it bothers me, I had halfdollarhosting shared hosting for only 0.50$ a month and the server was excellent

wonder if i keep looking if i will find even cheaper shared hosting. would be so much easier if my isp would just allow me to run web server off my home connection

  • I'm with bluevm shared hosting, $12 a year. Perfectly happy with it. Support tines are decent. Not much of a review but I do vouch for them. Pm me any questions if you like - on phone ATM and I'm a lazy typer.

Cheaper than what you have already found is probably free, but free always has domain restrictions.

have yet to find a free provider that accepts adult content (not trying to use cheap hosting for porn site, but if i wanted to post a pic of my penis then free hosts normally frown at such content)
