cheap storage or NAT VPS

I would like to buy some cheap storage VPS about 500 GB or more, it will be used to backing up my proxmox VPSes. I never used NAT VPS but I think it should be sufficient due to backup only purpose, at this time I need around 300 GB or less but I would like to have a bit more in case of growing up my VPSes, all in all my node has 2 HD HDDdepending of compression capability, and I think that backup once a week will be sufficient because I also make a offsite backup of accounts on these VPS in everyday basis, so the VPS backup is only for my convenience after total disaster to be able to quickly recover all configurations, custom settings, installed systems etc.

where is your server located? might be worth looking to have a not so bad connection to your backup place to speed up the backup process. especially if you want to use suspend or stop mode ;-)

for US go with speedykvm and their 3 year 1TB plan. $4 is worth it and even three years... you never will need less space again.

there is not much for markable cheaper, that I'd consider, even if 500GB suffice.

on a sidenote: have a look into glusterfs, let's you mount your backup space very easy in proxmox (after all it's nfs) and you can make use of encryption. works with a single drive too but is expandable to gain some redundancy if ever wanted or needed ;-)

Go with wishosting, their servers are very good value! Might I suggest getting the $14.99/quarter NAT and if you need an IPv4 they can add one for $5. I did this with mine, the actual KVM is in Germany (which I get 50kb/sec from germany here in Australia) but the IP they give is in France and proxied to your KVM, and with that, I get 6MB/sec (from a 100mbit connection).
