KVM 512mb-1gb+ ram, 1+vcore, 5gb+ storage, 50gb+ bandwidth - $15 a yr USA only

Budget is low at $12-17/yr, but so are the requirements.

768mb ram would be ideal as I would rather run the KVM (not interested in OpenVZ) on Centos vs Debian.

100mbps connections are also fine, 1gbit isn't really needed but burst would be nice. It has to be state side and I would prefer to also pay in USD with auto deduct via CC or paypal.

**Location **Central like Texas or Atlanta would be preferred but open to alternatives, I would rather avoid LA though as I feel it's overrun by overseas VPN and spam users.

Frankly this will be very low traffic and low requirement. **Single or maybe 2 non WP dynamic sites. ** Looking at like probably 20-100 visits a month at most. the 50gb+ bandwidth isn't even remotely needed, just figured I would toss something in there. but the 5gb+ plus storage is needed. Don't care if it's SSD or not as long as the data is in Raid 10 or 60.

Don't feel like I'm asking for the world here so let's see what we can get. Note I'm a respectable i

Thanks!

Your price point is too low for your request. You might get lucky on Black Friday, but 768k? That's thrice what you get with TinyKVM at your price point. Aim for closer to $35.

Unfortunately, that's unlikely to be possible on regular basis. VirMach (aff link) 512MB KVM is your best bet I guess, use leb30 code to reduce the price tag to $17.5/yr. They have plenty of US locations to choose from.

  • Closest you can get is $25/year for 1GB KVM from Virmach. Use coupon code LEB50 and choose annual billing without a Windows OS. They have Dallas and Atlanta so it's probably great for running CentOS or Debian. Unless Virmach throws another deals party (probably during Black Friday), it's not happening at $12-17/year..

    (aff link)

  • Up your budget to 24 and go with SpeedyKVM, or w8 for black friday and all them discounts :)

  • Maybe ask @vapornode for a custom quote

Good call on VirMach with discount. that's pretty much on the mark. Gonna sit for a moment and see what else comes up.

I'm definitely interested in SpeedyKVM. I like their datacenter location too and reviews seem to be fairly decent (although with a fairly strict admin, which I'm ok with). Let's see what they have for offer on black Friday if anything.

I'm getting the feeling VirMach will be the winner here. Though I'll be kicking myself because I remember seeing that crazy deal they were offering a few months back and I didn't bite.

Than wait another month and you'll find yourself with one of those again. :)

  • We are giving away a 1 GB RAM and 1 vCPU Orbit for free for a year, provided you are located in USA.

  • All users outside USA can get 6 months free if they pay for 6 months. That is like getting 1 vCPU and 1 GB RAM with 20 GB SSD and 1 TB/month data transfer for $33.00 for the whole year.

I'm seeing on your site that it's $5.50 for that monthly after the first year. Given it's a great way to get into setting up and running a VPS and seeing if it's something you can handle. But I would rather get somewhere and hunker down with a good price point.

Thank you for the offer though and best of luck in your endeavor. First year free is very tempting indeed, sure it'll get plenty of action.

I was able to dig up an old Black Friday deal of theirs (Virmach) and it's essentially right on the mark of what I'm looking for. I'm going to still keep my options open but that'll be basically the price point I'd like to hit.

    Thanks.

  • I ended up with a great offer from a provider here (not virmach). Goes to show if your up front about what you want there are solid providers here that will offer :)

    Thanks all
