Is ImpactShared/VPS any good?

Someone I know was looking for a vps with low ping to South America :P

Comments

  • +1 for ImpactVPS. Suggested to my clients to read their TOS since they're kinda strict when it comes to policy.

  • Idk their shared, but for VPS, I think they are good. They use Incero network so it is stable. The VM resources are also be ok till now. I currently have 2 packages with them and 1 is idle, 1 is ok for the gitlab usage :-)

They've been quite solid for me. Good performance for the price, solid uptime and snappy support.
However, I know one of their nodes in Seattle was/is having issues for a while.

Haven't used it in a production environment and probably won't anytime soon. A backup mail relay is as close to it as I've come. ATM, still sticking to the bigger players for prod use but for personal use - highly recommended.

As for ping to SA, no experience

  • Thanks everyone :) I guess I will recommend them then^^

  • I think you would better opt for Miami location then.

I was told Seattle would be good. But does ImpactVPS offer Miami?

Nope, no Miami. Dallas, Seattle and NY from memory

The point is, I didn't talk about ImpactVPS, but about low ping to South America only.

I wont recommended them, they use openvz.

In my monitoring they not stable enough, they take too long to solve problem.

  • I believe you could for example try DeepNet. That's their Miami LG.

I've been their customer over 15 months and their VPS is solid, in my monitor their VPS is quite stable.

Data from uptimerobot and monitors their Dallas VPS.

How bad is their network? They use Incero, so it should be OK

Can you elaborate on the issues you are having a bit more? The network in all our locations should be more than stable.

Sorry for my mistake, I placed my first order with them on Nov 01, 2016. Over 10 months instead of 15 months.
