Looking for a reliable VPS in Germany/Austria
Hi, all. I'm looking for a reliable KVM based VPS with good SLA. (Please do not recommend Vultr/Do/Lightsail)
500G - 1T bandwidth, at least 0.5 VCore and > 512 Ram.
OVZ may also be fine if it is not that oversold and reliable enough.
My budget is $5-12/Mo. Any recommendations?
Thank you guys in advance!

@mikho Any non-NATs available in your DE range?
@falzo
Not right this minute. I am looking into it but no price point has been set.
@im8a how much disk are you looking at and would ssd be a requirement?
Hetzner VPS
I'm using @UltraVPS for about three years now and didn't have any issues with them at all.

I was pretty happy with my beast at Nodion. Waiting for their relaunch. @nik
^ This, they are stable and have been in business for a long time (Their parent company Bradler & Krantz GmbH & Co KG) so they are not going anywhere anytime soon and they provide a solid product for the price.
my 2 cents.
Cheers!
No need. A 5G HDD would suffice
If you don't need a dedicated ipv4 I could do a 512mb ram and 10gb disk deal for $15/year.
Edit: that is not with 1 TB bandwidth. Not at full speed.
The DE location has been very stable since it was installed.
Maybe this can help you.

As you mentioned Austria, I'd also look into Czech or Slovak offers then.
@im8a - if OpenVZ is acceptable for you, our servers are very stable and reliable so far - https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/126317/alphavps-openvz-in-5-locations-ssd-nvme-kvm-launch-in-2-locations-dedicated-machines-25eur#latest
Well within your budget.
Check this if OpenVZ is fine for you, https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/120875/1-25-mo-germany-ddos-protected-openvz-vps-virtualizor-rdns-support

haha, thanks for calling ;-)
@im8a consider netcup and if you'd go with 6-month or even yearly you might want to start here:
https://www.netcup.de/bestellen/produkt.php?produkt=1711 or there
https://www.netcup.de/bestellen/produkt.php?produkt=1714
prices include german VAT which you might get deducted if outside europe, also grep a 5€ one time discount code for new customers from my sig ^^
if you need an order link for a bigger one which could be a bit cheaper then what they advertise, just ping me ;-)
also @UltraVPS as already mentioned deliver reliable services, prices start from 2€ per month, so different things to choose from within your budget... they also have NL and US locations. feel free to use the aff-link in my sig to get an additional 15% discount for the first six month.
besides hetzner there also is leaseweb offering stable services out of frankfurt and quite some other players in your budget.
for AT I'd recommend having a look at @kcaj's vps247.com...
Just have a look at our Rootserver offers in Frankfurt, Germany: https://www.kms-hosting.com/rootserver
I would mention UltraVPS.eu, LeaseWeb, DediServe, OnVirt.de, CrownCloud.
just to mention: OVH also just anounced their public cloud offers being available in their german location. the small SSD/sandbox ones are available too, pricing starts from 4.15€ (incl. VAT)
Nobody recommended Aruba yet? Am really happy with my VPS in Frankfurt (though it's only Level3 and Cogent, speeds both on network but also on I/O are extremely good), the small one comes with 1GB Ram, 20GB SSD, 1 Core and 2TB Traffic - on VMWare Hypervisor, 4,99€ / month:

Hello,
Our Public Cloud is available in Germany .
First plan is 0.5 core/512MB/50GB/100Mbits (unmetered) for 3.5$.
For 12$ you can get 1core/2GB/50GB/100Mbits (unmetered).
Does it come with an Atari ST?
agreed... totally forgot about them.
I had quite some geo location issues for the german IPs they provide, but afaiw that's much better now ;-)
I personally had multiple network and disk issues with netcup:
So no more netcup for me.
On the other hand, I know several people who've been using netcup without any (obvious) issues, so YMMV.
Been using them for close to a year now; highly recommend them: good performance, very good uptime, very friendly and competent support.
KMS is the budget brand of combahton.net.
I've only been with them for about a month, so can't judge reliability yet, but I've been very content with their performance and support so far.
And in a similar fashion, I'd point to @farnox: haven't used them much, but server performance looked great and support was fast, friendly, and competent.
Thank you for mentioning, @ucxo!
You might want to take a look at our CloudServer 20G:
https://www.farnox.net/sites/offers
We run our own hardware at Accelerated DC in Frankfurt, Germany and offer a seven day money-back guarantee. :-)
@farnox - your website has some issues on firefox, looks like it doesn't load css.
i used to have one in 1990, were you an atari 800/130xe guy in the past? or what are you exactly :P
Try netcup
@putStrLn I can‘t reproduce that. Can you please send some more details via PM? Thank you!
Can vouch for @farnox Using them for some months now. They indeed have one of the best supports which is also quite fast with responding.
