[Help] Install CloudLinux on Linux Container (LXC) based VPS

Hello LET peoples,

I am trying to install cloudlinux on a linux container (LXC) based VPS and failed a few times. Previously i was installed CL on a lots of VPS that not based LXC virtualization.

I was asked for support to CL and they are unable to help me in this issue. Here is the errors:

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
Unable to install yum-rhn-plugin, please contact CloudLinux

Anyone able to help me on that?

Thanks in advance.

Already did. They can't do this for me.

  • If my memory is correct, it's not possible to use cloudlinux under LXC, OpenVZ or Docker.
CloudLinux is a full OS and requires it's own kernel, you will only be able to install it under KVM, Xen-HVM, VMWare and HyperVM.
You need a full virtualization in order to use it.

This is spot on. Hypervizor based virtualization only, no containers.

openvz/lxc possible but only by installing on the host server and then you have some limited functionality inside containers.

I have full access of the dedicated/host server.

kvm is the best bet like suggested.
