encrypted vmware disk to kvm
In school we were given vmware workstation images that are encrypted. We have a read password to bootup the image. But it seems it needs another admin password to configure the settings.
Do you think there is a chance I can convert the disk to something linux kvm can read / write? I prefer using kvm as I also use it at work

If you don't have admin rights, the best you can do is possibly (not tested) to export the filesystem and load it under VMWare Player on a machine you DO have admin rights to, create an unencrypted disk of the same size, and dd or rsync across.
