Hi,

Since i created a domain with Namecheap not my first i get mails from Sam, i dont know if its just a Spambot what reads whois entrys and Spam you. Anyone experinced this?

I got E-Mails like: today is my birthday, design reminder, Ecommerce Website.....


I want not imagine what happen when i would click unsuscribe from list...

    Perhaps you should include the emails?

    I get Sam e-mailing me about web designs on .us domains, everytime I register one.

    I assume he scans latest registered domains and then sends it to the address on WHOIS.

    Although I get a different e-mail content to the one you got

  • I also receive emails when I buy domains from Network Solutions. Nothing new.

    If he has Skype, I don't think he is a bot.

    I think there is a legit person behind the details, but he e-mails new domain registrants as a bot...

    Legit in what sense ? He is clearly spamming. You probably meant real.

    The bot is just the scraper/script. The details mailed may be that of a person.

  • Yeah wait until you get domain registration stuff in the mail on TLDs that do not have privacy with shady and deceptive looking offers

    Yes, something which looks like renewal, in fact some "SEO" offer.
