Do bitcoing merchants like bitpay show different rates to different users

So I was wondering when you go to buy a VPS using bitcoin then you are shown a page by merchant where the bitcoin to be sent along with address is shown. On top they say something like "you have 15 minutes to pay"

Once you pay from your wallet their system automatically detects that and show you success page.

What if at the same time another user sends exact same amount to their address? To me it looks like they always show different rate to users for e.g. if one user is buying VPS for $2.5 then they may see rate BTC 0.000625 while another user at the same time may see BTC 0.000626 for same $2.5 price otherwise there is no way to detect who sent which amount.

  • The address is generated automatically.....time limit is there so that the system will not look/wait for payment transaction for too long......

Yeah it could be like that they generate new address for each user instead of subtle change in price.

    they do.

  • See coinbase shows rates in which they add 1% additional fees.

  • Maybe it's because transaction fee for btc payments has gone up quite a bit recently?
