looking for kvm vps near toronto
I'm looking to start up 2-3 small(800-1000 skus total) opencart sites with vestacp & want a vps.
It's been a while so let me know if I need to bump it up to 1.5-2g.
-something close to toronto
-kvm
-1gb
-1cpu
-ssd
-don't need managed monthly right now but wouldn't mind hearing offers with basic/semi/one time fee management.
- can pay yearly
thanks

LunaNode
Get DigitalOcean in Toronto OR get a premium Virmach SSD KVM in Buffalo if the DO is too expensive.
picked up a 1gb kvm from virmach to tide me over until BF; $2 monthly with LEB2017G1.
Darn.. would have recommended SSDNodes new KVM offering. Their Montreal DC has about 18ms ping from Toronto.
CC Buffalo (with Virmach like I recommended) is just a few ms to Toronto on a lot of routes.
DigitalOcean has node in Toronto
I ended up choosing CHI(17ms), their NJ/NY to me were 20 & 30. DO & dediserve TOR were ~8ms. MTLs were 30 while Luna's TOR was ~18
Virmach's pricing was hard to say no to for now especially when BF/CM is around the corner.
We peer with most the Canadian isps. Can you send me a tracert to our Buffalo network?
@jbiloh How’s your peering with BACOM/Bell?
We are peered with Bell.
Not really.
Is it just me or AS36352 doesn't show Bell Canada as one of the peers? Nor does any residential Canadian ISP.
No you're not?
Perhaps Taco Bell.
Looking similar with Telus
Hi guys, please both retest as engineering has made some changes to prefer traffic from Bell and Telus over the routes with TORIX peering.
You told me 2-3 years ago the same thing about peering with canadian ISP.
Traffic never goes directly with them but always with a lots of other sub-provider like XO.
IPv6 IS HARD OK!?!!
Wow.
No wonder you havent been getting the right routes to Bell for ages. Bell (at least their customer ASN) does not peer with TORIX. You can verify this by checking ASN577 in peeringdb.
COUGH.
I have no idea why I've been coughing so much today.
XO is, well, XO. It's not a member of Torix.
They just depend on XO to connect their customers... too lazy to peer with Canadian ISPs directly...
Telus from the west coast:
[Insert IPvFONLY transit joke here.]
please try xeroxhost provide good VPS, starting $6.5
And you are? GTFO with your spam shit!
