How much do you pay for internet?

pixahexpixahex Member

I'm curious what you guys pay to your isp in different countries around.

best deal in India for 4g mobile internet is: Jio: 399 INR (~6.193 usd) for 84 days... 1GB daily. So it's 4.75 INR (~0.074 usd) per day per GB.

Price for broadband vary across all states.

Something like 55 EUR/month for unmetered FttH (in the Netherlands), 100mbps down, 100mbps up. Theoretically a Fair Use Policy, but I don't think it's ever enforced against anybody. I've certainly used a crapload of bandwidth without issues at all.

EDIT: I could get 500/500 for like 10EUR/month more, but it's not worth it, as my HDDs can't keep up with that anyway.

  • 1gbps + IPTV : about 40$/m (3 years contract but all providers give $400~450 in cash when signing up. After 3years, I usually switch to another provider.) If some of family members use mobile of the same telecom, they discount home internet price by $0.

About $12.50 per month in advance for 50 Mbps unmetered shared broadband connection. The average internet speed is about 10-20 Mbps in peak hours. (No fair usage)

Have paid about $150 in total for half kilometer own optical fiber cable, 2x100 Mbps media converter, 3x100Mbps Ethernet cable, 1x100 Mbps switch and 1x300 Mbps Router.

Is it a remote desktop's speed test or your local internet connection speed?

I pay 65 euro for a 500/500mbit connection, that includes TV and a phoneline (never used it).

Upload peaks well over 800 megabit:

But the average upload is about 580-600 megabit:

    I think it's decent :-D

    $140/m for 130mbit down, 5mbit up
Around $100/m for unlimited LTE (AT&T)
Around $50/m for roughly 2GB LTE (Project Fi)

Of course, TV is included in the first, and phone service in the second two. Cable company won't sell it without TV. I switched to Project Fi for mobile, but AT&T is too good around this area so I'm keeping it as a hotspot.

I miss my 500/500 line in Amsterdam, when I moved I couldn't have it installed since the downstairs neighbours won't give access to their utility closet to install fiber :(

Now stuck to Ziggo 150/15 (+tv and landline) for about 50 euro's per month.
