    Hex core /w HT X5670 @ 2.93GHz , 32GB RAM, 4x 1TB SATA, Basic HW RAID, iDRAC, 1GE, 25TB BW, IPv4/IPv6 - - - $72/quarter

Anyways a tempting offer again, I'd jump on if only those come with something like a /29 IPv4...

Ah. I kind of assumed it was a /29.

I thought they said they will include a /24 free with all servers???

Additionally as mentioned a few (dozen??) posts ago these servers have 16GB not 32GB. That's our mistake... We're going to check with vendors in the AM about getting more ram but we will likely offer

    A) a full refund if you don't want the 16G server or
    B) discount the cost _slightly _and refund that to you and you can keep this server..

How about C) adjusting the next due date proportionately so that you don't have to refund anything and just update the recurring amount?

Any news on what the order count is for the group buy?

We're at 10 at the moment. Honestly at this point even if we don't get the full 15 we're still going to get you guys the servers, the CPU might be slightly different E5420 or E5440 vs. E5450 or something but the memory and SSD/SATA config would be the same. We might just need to go non-blade to make it work with less users.

Of course if we go this route we'd make the exact config 100% clear and if you didn't want the special anymore we'd be happy to refund the payment... just don't dispute the charge if we take more than .000023 seconds.

Should I open a ticket to ask about the exact config or would you be posting it in the thread?

@DatabaseByDesignLLC, were these provisioned on a 100Mbps port or is that some hardware limitation? Tried to look back in the thread and didn't see you mention if they were being offered with 100 meg or 1 gig port speeds.

Well, the offer comes with 1Gbps but seems that mine dedi is limited to 100Mbps too.

  • That's my bad fellas. Please re-run the network speed tests.

$6 upgrade for IPs? Buuuh. Thats far away from being fucking Yeti special.

    Yet already OOS anyways :(

Probably need to monitor this topic via a script or something alike... already being looked at weird for yelling sasqash at my phone while standing im front of her majesty's crown jewels.

Here is a hint, you want to monitor:

    https://www.databasebydesignllc.com/newportal/cart.php?a=add&pid=20035

until it doesn't redirect to the cart page for the next deal :)

They'll probably be using the same link (20034) throughout the day and just adding one to the stock at random times, rather than creating a whole new product every time.

ding ding ding!!! we have a winner!

  • @DatabaseByDesignLLC IPMI is not permanent (24/7), right?

  • OK, so here is the 'almost confirmed' alternative config of the failed group buy... we will send out tickets with updates once official. What do you think, still interested?

    Original 'failed' spec:

    Dual E5520 or better
    16GB RAM
    120GB SSD or 2x 10K 146GB SAS
    1 Usable IP
    1Gbps Port
    10TB Bandwidth
CentOS 6 64bit (Self Install Any OS After Setup)
    Full Root Access
    Dedicated IPMI
    $14/m annual billing

New modified spec with less orders:

    Single Hex core X5660
    24GB RAM
    2x 10K 146GB SAS - no more SSD option :(
    1 Usable IP
    1Gbps Port
    10TB Bandwidth
CentOS 6 64bit (Self Install Any OS After Setup)
    Full Root Access
    Dedicated IPMI
    $14/m annual billing

  • @mtsbatalha said:

It is. Once it's enabled for you, you'll have 24x7 access to it. No need to contact us again for support :)
