Xtendweb?

ShazanShazan Member, Host Rep

Has somebody tried Xtendweb (https://xtendweb.gnusys.net/?

How does it manage the storage/replica of the filesystem? Does it replicate mail too?

  • Following - also want to know

    Thanked by 1Shazan
  • I am the dev of XtendWeb. The file system is replicated using http://www.cis.upenn.edu/~bcpierce/unison/

and it excludes email intentionally for performance reasons. However, the slave servers are configured as a backupMX which store and forward all emails to the master Cpanel server in case of an outage. So email reception is high available but pop/IMAP are not. I hope this answer your question

Is this an nginx module, in C?

  • No..its a Nginx config generator and web server clustering cPanel plugin written in Python. The project provides a custom compiled Nginx rpm with a set of 3rd party Nginx modules (eg: phusion passenger, redis module etc) that is not available in standard Nginx rpm's.

Xtendweb is a software in the category: sysadmin/automation/configuration management
