This may be a good offer. 10 GB VPS $5-$7. You will get free $300 credit for a year's use

It is extremely confusing. The bandwidth prices are listed here (inbound free, egress to google free, egress elsewhere at these rates)

It does seem you need a master degree in arithmetic to figure out GC and AWS pricing

Almost big cloud providers (AWS, GCE, Azure) do calculate bandwidth separately from their Compute Engine instances, so I think there is no surprise here :-)

Note that a single f1-micro instance (600MB, 1/5 core burstable) is within their free usage tier.

It looks so simple after I finally figured it out. Here is a cheatsheet, guys

lol, yeah the bandwidth calculation is the tricky part, maybe not to the above normal person

in the mean time you can enjoy the free credit though

TBH it's not that complex. I work daily with this platform.

The AWS one has even more factors involved.

The bandwidth costs $120/TB, that's all you need to know, and be careful there since the free credit only covers a couple of TB at these rates.

For such pricing I won't use them :)

I really confused with their control panel. I have 300 USD free credit, but unable to open/install/create new cloud. Please tell me how. Their control panel seem complicated.. LOL

It's Google, what did you expect? I personally stopped using Google services long time ago.

    Google Cloud Platform Free Tier

The Google Cloud Platform Free Tier is your opportunity to learn and use GCP for free. It has two parts: a 12-month, $300 credit free trial and Always Free. The 12-month, $300 free trial allows you to use any GCP product. Always Free allows you to try participating products for free up to their non-expiring usage limits, making it easy for you to test and develop with these products.

    12-month, $300 free trial

What's included in the free trial?

You get $300 in credit to spend over a 12-month period on all Google Cloud Platform products. During the free trial, some products have limitations.

how come you read two months?

  • it was 2 months, but recently changed to 12months
