OVH additional disk
I am using OVH SSD 3, I needed some more storage, so I ordered additional disk. My assumption was it will automatically extend the partition and I will be able to use the storage. I am using centos 7, and want to extend the root partition.
Followed:
https://geekpeek.net/resize-filesystem-fdisk-resize2fs/
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/11014584/ec2-cant-resize-volume-after-increasing-size
and couple of different articles, still can't get it working (Usually get "The filesystem is already blocks long" when using resize2fs, as I have no clue what I am doing.
Please give me some pointers, or set it up me :P ($7)
I am using fresh centos 7 installation, so data is not important.

Additional disk doesn't expand the disk you're using now at OVH, sadly..
Thanks man, sorry for noob question, but why ?
No idea
Probably because if you cancel the extra disk space, it's dangerous to shrink the vps's volume size.
Hi,
If you're using an ext3/ext4 It might be hard to resize the HDD, if you're on an LVM should be easy to grow it by yourself.
On OVH SSD VPS it only allows you to add addtional disk but not expand.
One can easily expand using LVM.

Yeah, missed that. Possible to create a VG using both disks.
