If I have a VPS with failover IPs can I use them with a dedicated server within the same account? It seems as if you can still get IPs for VPSes but not for Dedi's at the moment.
Sorry for all the OVH questions today!
No. Whatever IPs you get, are usable on your VPS only.
At least this is what happened on my account, when I tried.
4 GB RAM/90 GB SSD/4 TB Traffic/KVM/1 IPv4 for $7/mo only here with coupon code "LET-It-GO".
Booooo! Was hoping their failover IPs would work across all services in an account. Guess I'll have to wait until they get some in stock.
Failover IPs can be moved between dedicated servers, cloud servers/projects, and vRacks. Legacy VPS no.
So one of the "new" VPS SSDs with a failover would work?
I buy ip in vps and move them to dedicated xD
Can you tunnel the failover IP on your VPS to your dedi?
Why don't you just move them?
That's why they are called "failover"!
You can easily tunnel your IP from ovh VPS to an ovh Dedi. As long as they are in the same region, latency should be negligible.
