  • Because the neighbors tapped my cable line and I won't let them steal my bits!

  • To get free internet acces :)

Because in Germany you can't watch every YouTube video because of the GEMA -.-

Does GEMA apply to datacenters too?
So a German VPN won't grant you full access to Youtube?

AFAIK yes. I think it depends on the ip geo location. You can try VEVO channels, in Germany you can't watch them.

Edit: You may test it with this video:

Without the VPN it says this:

  • Most VPN users are on a free type of internet or in a country where they are restricted to the content they can view.

  • I use to get a better routing
My ISP got very shitty routing to certain country

  • Hulu,netflix,bbc,torrenting,unblocking censhorship,privacy,anonymity etc..

To encrypt my connection. So no one be able to Wiresharked me.

  • To encrypt on public wifi.
To access site that blocked by my isp.
To connect to my home server.

  • I am using vpn for security and unblocking purposes. For more about VPN, I would suggest that you visit a review webstie like bestvpnservice.com

How much would you guys pay for one day of VPN access? One week?

  • Id like to test a VPN for 1 day. Is there an option?
Is possible to test it for free?
I do not have these problems you mentioned but I'd like to learn more about this service.
What is the difference to use VPN and to use Anonnymous Proxies?

I lot of websites use your IP address to determine where you are physically located so they can control your access to specific content. VPN can provide you with IP addresses from different countries allowing you to access certain blocked information.

Though I am not using VPN I am using ssh with -D option, so i guess my comment would be related to this thread. I am using it for passing through government censorship as main reason. Also, I am using in places with public wi-fi.

Great. Thank you. In fact I contract one for a test.
But it is nice to know I can get one for free.
