AlphaRacks Easter Sale

AlphaRacks started an Easter sale on Master Reseller Hosting, Linux and Windows VPSs. I've enjoyed AlphaRack's service as of late, and they've hooked me up phat on more than one occasion. The OS selection on these VPSs is not the best. I believe they are all located in Los Angeles. Know of any other Easter sales?

https://www.alpharacks.com/Easter2017

From the email I recieved at tonight at 8:30 PM MST:

"If the URL above shows that everything has been sold out, don't worry - just try again later. Stock is refreshed every hour. These offers are priced so low that we fully expect them to sell out in one shot if we did not have stock control, so we are limiting the amount of stock that is available on an hourly basis in order to allow everyone a chance to order!

Easter BANDWIDTH BONUS: Order within the next 24 hours, and open a ticket to request to have your bandwidth TRIPLED for free!"

That looks like an all time low for AR. :) Could be tempted, but I already got snagged by a good Black Friday sale.

  • It would have been great if disks were ssd

  • Linux #1 $8.00/year:

I guess this would be a 64 MB RAM server instead of a 640 MB RAM ...

Their site says 640mb of dedicated ram. So I assume is it indeed that.

which is a very strange amount of RAM :-)

Agreed but what floats your boat I guess lol.

  • I've got another one with them that's 768MB RAM and 1.96TB bandwidth. Their numbers are a bit different but it's a great deal so whatever.

How do these (honestly) function? I'm normally up for trying out a dirt cheap host, but I always see so many comments (when they post an offer on LEB) about the VPS's just being unusably slow.

  • Prices are pretty typical (I get basically the same offers every 2-3 months as apart of their client mailing list), so don't sweat it if you miss this offer.

When I had a VPS with them a while ago (8~ months) it was fine, definitely not unusable. I don't have any benchmarks though, unfortunately.

The network speed of my first AR server (which I got about a year ago) was very poor initially. Running speedtest-cli it was about 40Mbps down and 6Mbps up. After submitting a ticket it has been between 100Mbps and 250Mbps down and between 80Mbps and 150Mbps up consistently save for a few times where I saw something really low like 10Mbps down. I purchased one of the servers from this sale too and right now speedtest-cli is 170Mbps to 230Mbps down and about 50Mbps up. The processors in both are Xeon E5620 @ 2.4Ghz.

  • U don't have to worry about traffics for Ovz in alpharacks. Their network is too slow for their ovz vps

640k ought to be enough for anyone..

  • If only this would not be out-of-stock continuously ...

  • people still do Master Resellers ?

  • How many different servers do you house master reseller accounts on? I bought one during xmas but would grab another one if I could get it on a different server. PM me if possible.

My usage is pretty light weight so all I can say is that this one and one that I've had for several years has never been down. I don't really expect to run anything bandwidth intensive on something this cheap.

Cheers! Looks like I should get some more sleep. Still it's quite a loophole in the system, as starting with such a phrase nulls the rules. Alright guys, carry on!

I flagged a thread similar to this one before where I raised same concerns, as this is also circumvents "sinking" nature of Offer threads (in addition to potential to use for shilling and to post offers more often than 14 days) No action was taken regarding that thread, no communication back to me either.
