2. Which do you recommend?

3. For e.g. Shadowsocks server hosted in BuyVM. OpenVPN server hosted in HostSolutions.ro. Would it be better if the two were on different servers?

1. Shadowsocks has no forward secrecy (unless you manually change the password every time).

2. Depends on what you're trying to do.

I like openvpn with nyr for home use in us. if i go to china for family i have to use shadowsocks. scarambled vpn is too difficult for me.

if you in us or west europe openvpn is greaet. if in east europe maybe shadowsocks as like china more censorship from puchin.

depends location, ping, network, routing, provider rating. buyvm is great but with amount id required to order ccp would probably end up throwing me over bridge.

op pick what you need.

when i use prepaid in us i notice it force ipv6 on 4g, openvpn on 4g not simple with nyr script but shadowsocks simple setting on android.
