Let me guess you never put a ticket in? We have found a solution to the issue.
As for the bad network that @bryce is talking about he is in china we are USA based company so our IPS and our networks are based in the USA. We have never said we are Asia optimized.
This test was just done on a test VPS:
I/O speed(1st run) : 102 MB/s
I/O speed(2nd run) : 104 MB/s
I/O speed(3rd run) : 105 MB/s
Average I/O speed : 103.7 MB/s
We added back LAX - when you order ask to be put LAX in the order notes.
Well, it seemed sloved now.
Because I don't really care about it, it's enough for me but it's still much slower than other provider.
I suggest you add some smaller plan such as 512M or 256M, because those who needs high RAM often require high IO too.
As for the slow I/O we thinkg it's a software issue with the new server and we are waiting for a reply back from panel maker. We added a new 512 plan to the ad and the site as well.
You DID announce the DC move was to get better connectivity to China.
We did some locations in China have amazing ping some don't via the new network. We only tested the main city's.
