Google Drive - bought addtional storage but doesn't show

I today bought the 100GB pack per month for an account inside a Legacy Google Apps free domain.

In Gmail it correctly shows now 6gb of 115gb (100+15)

but

in my Google Drive it still shows 6gb of 15gb. I tried to copy a 30GB file but it said "upgrade Storage"

The interface is so f*ked up... it is impossible to understand how the assigning of Storage quota works.

Now this account is supposed to just be used as a backup of photos and some zip files. I don't have any email for this very account, purely need it for storage on Google Drive.

Any pointers ??

it may take up to 24 hrs untill the storage shows up. Mine took around 10 mins. Maybe you could wait a little?

After much looking around here and there, I finally hit a link

Check if your Google Drive storage is updated

After you purchase storage on Google Drive:

It can take up to 24 hours for the storage to be available.
If the payment went through, it has been 24 hours since you purchased storage, and your storage is still not correct, contact us.
