About our Dallas Datacenter:

The network behind our Dallas servers is multi-homed with multiple 10Gbit connections and redundant Juniper routing with HSRP failover. Network and hardware conditions are monitored 24/7/365. Spare hardware is always stocked and available on site. We utilize A+B power for redundancy in case of brownouts, which are rare in Dallas.

What Makes Catalyst Host a Special Company?

“If you’re not going to do something right, don’t bother doing it.”

We seriously made this company for ourselves. We wanted a service to our quality, and when we realized that what we were doing actually worked we decided that we shouldn’t keep it for ourselves. We don’t settle for mediocre, we care about our clients, and in reality this isn’t about the money.

We are not here to give you the most imaginary resources you can't use for the least dollar signs. We are here to give you the best quality, with what I estimate to be some of the least oversold nodes in our market. You have the peace of mind that you services are in good hands, that your service will operate as expected, and that your data will remain safe.

Reviews

Our service really does speak for itself. But here’s some reviews (the first one's about our new KVM system)!

  • Looks good. Cache is read or read/write?

  • Thanks! Cache's Read/Write!

I picked one up on the day the KVM plans were released, great performance, and support too. :)

Here is a bench that @wdq put in his review Trenta KVM Bench also here is a bench I ran on the host node HostNodeBench

  • And, I think I fixed all of my formatting issues. Yikes! Didn't expect that!

  • I was given the opportunity to trial the KVM service before its launch.

The first-linked review at VPSBoard is more in-depth in this assessment, but tl;dr: if you're even remotely on the fence, get one. SHITROX.

    128 GB ECC RAM

I wonder, you got a 128 GB of RAM node, yet you sell 256 MB of RAM VPSes on it, that's what, about 500 clients on there, and at $6.50 each? (actually I had to double-check I read that part right - the price vs the RAM amount). When we have Inception offering 2GB Xen for $7 and FRH selling I don't know 256MB KVM for $2, sorry where is the logic behind 256 MB for 6.50? Even look at DigitalOcean, 512MB KVM for $5. When you have a worse deal than DO (which gives more disk space on a f***ing SSD, on top of that), surely something isn't right?

Other than this, had only good impressions back from when I was using Catalyst, so if this price for these specs seems okay for people, by all means go and order.

Catalyst Host seems awesome, no doubt, but I agree with this, escpecially when LiquidHost offer about same deal for 20$/year or so.

Stock isn't split that way. As for DO, I believe our network and performance to be significantly better. Nothing but respect for them, of course. I'm a big fan of what they do.

Fair enough, best wishes with your new line :)

That's a great question @rm_. Let me go a bit more in-depth about this.

Our nodes are setup to have a specific distribution of each tier of plans. This means the entire node isn't filled to the brim with 256 MB VPSes, but instead with variations of other plans. This is to ensure that all of our clients are given the highest quality of service under our management procedures. So no, there's no 200 clients on a single node, but there are variations of other plans in addition to this plan, but everyone is guaranteed our best quality and support we can muster.

In addition, this plan does cost more than some of our competitors, but it comes with the quality (I'll leave serverbear for this one) of our network and the support behind it. We're not trying to be the lowest costing provider for the most specs, we're striving to be the best in our market with a business plan that ensures our ability to continue to serve our clients in the long run.

We're inviting you to join us in making that happen.

    Congrats

  • After a long time wait! Good job guys. Next stop SSD KVM on a new location! It's hard to find somewhere like Incero, though.

Incero's been fantastic to work with. They seriously go above and beyond. I really wish they had other locations too!

Which is exactly what you will get in performance when you get a Catalyst VPS :P I am only guessing this is what @mun was trying to point out. :)

shhh don't tell anyone, but I was trying to get it at the top of the LET page again.
