What would you say is the cheapest way to host a sphinx site? By sphinx, I mean the python static site and documentation generator. Would your answer change if the recommonmark was also needed to render markdown?

Cheapest way? Have someone else do it.

If you want to host the generated static files, try the free plans at Surge or Netlify. You essentially deploy the root folder from the command line. You can use custom domains too.

I use Surge for simple non-production things, it's fantastic.
