A VM in Mexico with additional IPv4

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a VM with 32 additional IPs in Mexico. Pretty much any setup with 1TB@100Mbps.

Let me know if you have anything to offer.

    OneProvider

    SoftLayer

Seems like hostdime provides services. But they are expensive.

  • Softlayer will be the one with availability. OneProvider is not so common.

and if you are from mexico, get a VPS from Telmex but is damn expensive.

  • Traffic is the reason of the cost I suppose?

no, monopoly is the reason, i checked last week, here in Telmex, a VPS cost 500 MXN pesos ( 23 USD aprox ) but now i see it at 1600 MXN pesos (72 USD aprox) with 1 ip all the time.

softlayer cost 25USD per month, but always with 1 ip only.

Haha, I see, I guess I'll have to find another solution.

  • if i find one, i will let you know.

For Mexican users, best place is USA, because all the peers go to USa first then came back.

Mexico is expensive in bandwidth. Last time I quoted, it was 3000 usd for 100mbps unmetered

Unlike the residents, however, the routes are bidirectional?

In theory, as the BW does not cost anywhere that much, transport through Mexico if you can arrange with another Telmex company (Chile eg.) is cheap as dirt. So yea, monopoly, sadly :(

post the info here, can i have a mexico test ip please. edit: is softlayer. but at cheaper price.

    thanks

    smallest plan:

Linux OpenVZ VPS - Linux OpenVZ VPS 1
    Linux OpenVZ VPS 1 $14.95
    » Location: Mexico $5.00

    19.95 to start...

  • This is a great business idea for Equinix in Mexico. They should start Equinix Mexico City/Monterrey/Guadalajara to lower ping times for Mexican users instead of everything getting peered/transited in the USA. Also Cogentco is in Mexico if you want cheap bandwidth...
