Has anyone used VPS hosting services from Unidenhosting?

Edit by @jarland: Link removed, post left in place for historical data. I'm sure they'd (forumweb dot hosting) love their shill attempts to be deleted when caught, but LET members tend to value having data to reference when people repeatedly try to take advantage of them.

Original post:

I am having a client and he asked me to choose a VPS for his websites, after some checks, I saw this provider is offering good specs but low pricing.

2 GB RAM

40 GB STORAGE
5 TB BANDWIDTH
2 CPU CORES
FREE DOMAIN NAME INCLUDED

~PRICING :: [ 1st Month : $0.99

  • Second & Third Month : F R E E ]

Just out of curiosity, has any one here used VPS hosting services from his provider? please give me any reviews or feedback about them.

Thanks in advance.

Just a heads up @jamesfersz. We're used to people playing marketing tricks here and trying to shill for their services. It's so common that everyone is viewed as potentially doing this if it even looks like they might be. You just signed up and made a thread about a host I've never heard of, linking to an offer on a forum I've never heard of.

Just keep that in mind. Otherwise, welcome :)

I know that, but I can use their VPS for 3 months ($1) like I am using a free VPS, that could help me to check their service but I am just curious why they offer that like giveaways.

Not at all. I am not related to their company.

    +1

There was some shill poll/thread related to that special forum mid of january which got deleted.

I suggest removing the cross link to the forum in the first post. If needed a link to the offer of said provider might be acceptable instead, but imho the longterm costs really need to be mentioned right away.

    Whattf?
WHT and FWH are popular web hosting forums, didn't you know them?

sorry, I am quite new to this stuff so... no.

but I had a quick look and the first one seems full of uninteresting rerecurring offers from the same overpriced providers over and over again.

as the second board you mentioned isn't even a year old but already more blinking advertisement then I've seen on any other sites. looks shady to me. maybe it is only about trying to up their page ranking with such forumweb.hosting scam and by putting unwanted backlinks in foreign boards...

Scam or no scam, you need to check their services to know, all reviews on review sites are fake and I never read them.

once again I asked reviews about a web hosting but you are wanting to talk about scam scam scam ...does this help? perhaps it is my fault when asked reviews about a web hosting again.

Removing link due to that forum's owner repeatedly attempting to make threads here just to get people to visit it. I don't tolerate it from providers, won't tolerate it for anything else really.

I'm making no accusation against you here, but I am opting to quietly not allow links to that forum right now to discourage its owner from trying to spam here (again). Anyone actually interested in viewing that forum can find a reference to it here.

Some more information on our devoted spammer from forumweb dot hosting:

Some CloudFlare-user domains with a direct-connect IP address of 158.69.211.198

    bantranh.com
    ca-canh.com
    forumweb.hosting
    internetmarketingstar.com
    ojothemes.com
    phonesok.com
    tutorialsweb.hosting
    webmastersun.com

    count = 8

Should come in handy if someone needed to keep tabs on them. Mostly to determine where the spammer may be connected to other identities. Good to note to draw future connections.

  • I have received marketing from a so called specialist who claims he can advertise for me and one of his listed forums is that forumweb dot hosting, needless to say i marked it as spam and deleted it as i have just looked for it to quote it here. I have also received emails from said forum directly asking me to join their site and advertise. Says a thing or two about how they work.
