LEA sold the site to Chief, because LEA refused to sell to a hosting provider, and Chief flipped it to CC/CVPS.

    Also, Chief is bed ridden with medical problems and likely medical bills.

    I think it was sold to CC in late 2012.

    Which is why I'm asking for figures on the other thread. If you buy the forum for $50k, I would expect some decent revenue.

    I know several years back when IB (Internet Brands) bought ModelMayhem.com, it was estimated to be around 1 to 1.5 million they paid for it (that year they bought something like 12 sites at 20 mil). Course they are actually chocking that site full of ads where ever they can put it, plus paid memberships.

    LEA wanted to sell the site and came to me about it. He was originally wanting me to take over but since it would have caused too much of a stir I brought Joel into the discussion.

    It would have caused the same issue that CC has had :) The difference is I would have at least been upfront about it, like @kujoe was when he was writing.

    Two? Give me one! I had a "wind wagon" as a kid, similar but homebuilt . . . probably not as fast . . .
