Dedicated server request
Looking for a new dedicated server, something similar to or above E3-1270 in processing power, in any location other than Atlanta.
Other requirements are above 24GB RAM, 2 x 1TB HDD for S/W RAID (Great if H/W RAID is available), atleast 5TB at 1Gbps and /28 IPv4 with IPv6 support.
Will be running virtual machines that serves custom built applications. Presently I am paying $53 for similar spec with Dual L5520, which was a part of a deal. Cost can go upto USD $70.
Looking for suggestions on providers and offers.

Would you raise your budget to $80? If so I can do E3-1270v3 with the requested spec
if new york work. reliablesite has dedis in budget.
If you're interested in London I could likely help with E3-1270V5, 32 GB DDR4 ECC, 2x 1TB SW RAID, and 10TB @ 1Gbit/s.
Do let me know if you're interested
Hello there,
It definetly exceed your budget a little bit, but we can offer the following Dedicated Server in any of those 30+ datacenters we have infrastructure in.
For 145 EUR/mo.
If you're interested, please let me know. Would be a pleasure to have you as one of our valued customers.
Thank you.
Check out VortexNode, @vortexmagnus often has awesome deals. https://www.vortexnode.com/clients/cart.php?gid=10

@Houston_Datum The offer looks good and comes to 74$ for the spec I am looking. Its again Xeon L series and I already face issues with the IPMI for the L5520 servers I have. Will mail them and see about the IPMI status.
@RapidDedi Which all location?
@planofam The Intel Xeon E3 1240 V5 is the smaller one I see with reliablesite and it costs 112$ for the spec I am looking for.
@clouvider Have sent a PM
@Andreix The cost is more than double of my budget.
Would be New Jersey.
@wss Their deals seems to be preconfigured. E3-1240v1/v2 for my preferred spec will be $110. @vortexmagnus can you provide any offers on the spec I am looking for?
@jenkki Most of WSI servers are preconfigured. Had a look once again and their Dual Xeon 5639 2x2TB suits my budget at $67. All servers after than within or near my budget range has only 1HDD. Btw, how is their network? Have heard mixed reviews in the past.
Have sent a PM.
@VirMach - see: https://virmach.com/vds-dedicated-servers/
They don't have IPv6 though (AFAIK).
@bizzard I only linked to their cheapies. They have plenty.
If about Europe, they have nice deals - seflow.net/2/index.php/it/services-2/baremetalserver
How about soyoustart? Network will be 250Mbps, which is better than offers with 100Mbps. They have Intel Xeon E3 1245v2 and Intel Xeon E5 1620 under 60$.
The onetime 3$ setup cost is fine as I am planning it atleast for an year.
@jenkki Network at seflow is 100Mbps though. I plan to run rsync backups to a remote server. So, better have something above 100Mbps.
Btw, is a single SSD suggested instead of RAID on HDD, if daily remote backups are retained? It will give me a wider range of options with 500GB SSD.
@bizzard: I know it's not exactly what you requested but would you consider two dedicated servers with a provider rather than a single server or is this not an option at all?
@bizzard if you are looking for something in London I would highly recommend @zare by far the best i have found.
No IPv6 on the unmanaged $49 ones, but we do have IPv6 in certain locations (like Phoenix) for our managed services. If you find the right coupon the cost can go down to something like $90 which ends up being outside the range.
If @bizzard is interested though I may be able to pull some strings, just send a PM.
Have you seen the budget or no?
He has
@GM5 I need to have RAID. So, for 2 servers, there should be 4 disks and I believe it will be more costlier. If you have any offers, please share or PM me.
I can find options for Dual L5520 or similar at lower price, but not interested in them because of issues I faced earlier, mostly IPMI related.
@piohost I'll look into them. Location is not of much importance for me now.
@VirMach Have sent a PM.
We do have in LA
IN Dallas
@key900 How much for /28 Ipv4? Not interested in L5630, but E3-1230 seems fine. Btw can't find any company information in the website Letbox.com.
We have been more than 5+ years, /28 will be $20 extra per month.
Thanks
Nobody has said Hetzner?
Can do the following if the L series is okay like you mentioned it may be.
Dual Intel Xeon L5630 (dual 5640 would be $5 more)
48GB DDR3 RAM
2x 1TB HDD SW
1Gbit Burstable
/29 IPv4 (5 Usable)
IPv6 Supported/Available
$45/Month ($75/Month with /28)
Intel Xeon E3-1230v2
32GB RAM
2x 1TB HDD SW
1Gbit Burstable
/29 IPv4 (5 Usable)
IPv6 Supported/Available
$49/Month ($80/Month with /28)
We maybe have a 1270v1 laying around in back too...
You charge 30 dollars for 8 ips?
I think a /28 is more than 8 ip's. Not sure how many usable.
/28 is 13 Usable. Edit: fixed
Yes, but the 30 usd price difference is between a /29 and a /28, so they charge 30 usd for those 8 additional ips (from 5 useable to 13 useable)
