To vps or not to vps
I am looking at connecting a half dozen sites to a single point for backup replication. I am looking at two options:
- Setup vps and openvpn to allow the backup repository to connect to the remote sites for backup replication
- Setup openvpn on the backup repository and allow remote client backup servers to connect back to it so they can replicate.
The benefit of #1 would be that I could change the replication point easily. Benefit of #2 would be not having to find a reliable vps that is cheap and has unlimited bandwidth.

What is your time worth?
So just go straight to the replication server? (-:
