If I ask for ip's for my deticated server, can I use them for my vm's?
Hello my sons! I renting a dedicated server from hetzner and I'm running virtual machines inside it. Normally I depend on a vpn service to give each my own vm's its own ip, but I'm always paranoid that theres leaks, its been flagged, ect.
I don't know how asking for ip's would work because I'm sort of new (a few months running a dedicated server) but I'm assuming if I ask (and I actually succeed in getting 5 new ips) that I could just assign each virtual machine their own dedicated ip?
If this doesn't work then I guess that next best option would be for me to research how to create my own personal vpn and use that.

It should work provided its bridged properly to the dedi nic.
Hey thanks masterqqq. I guess I'll be requesting ip's right? those "subnets" aren't what i'm looking for?
I guess after I order 1 ip, the next step is to learn how to bridge it to my vm
Just request ips is fine.
thanks buddy!
Yes you would be able to specify a dedicated IP per virtual machine. This shouldn't cause any issues requesting more IPs.
Yes. mother allows it.
Subnet would also work.
hetzner offers a lot of different wiki articles cover some of your upcoming questions: https://wiki.hetzner.de/index.php/Virtualisierung/en
I nominate this as the next new LET meme. Especially since we got "fart mother" a while back.
