OneAsiaHost is focused on providing unmanaged hosting services such as VPS/Dedicated Servers using an excellent network offered at low prices to enable customers across the world to not just easily tap into a vital Asian node but more importantly, to allow for a more cohesive interaction between other key locations across the globe. Our extensive network infrastructure gives you the best reach to countries in Asia such as China, Indonesia, Vietnam, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, as well as direct connectivity into Australia, US and Europe.

Our networks routes are being constantly optimized based on customer feedback and we occasionally add new network providers to further reinforce our network and bandwidth capacity. We welcome our potential customers to contact us anytime with regards to route improvement in terms of latency and/or transfer speeds. If you feel that the latency/speed from your location to us is too high/slow, simply drop us a ticket and we'll try to improve it for you.

  • I have a VPS with OneAsiaHost while I'm in Korea. Its pretty solid and I use it every other day. Uptimes been good and connection to South Korea is decent (2 MB/s in comparison to all the other ones)

    If you need a VPS for Asia then he's your man. Also, Bandwidth is expensive in Asia so... use it wisely!

    I don't see the logic why KVM has to have 2x less bandwidth. You fit less KVMs on a server, so it has less RAM and HDD... but as a result of less users per server, b/w amount should be more, not less :P

    Other random thoughts:

    • no IRC is a huge turn-off;
    • does instant rDNS work on v4/v6?
    • why not post a test IPv6;
    • it's super impressive that you have an LG;
    • looks like you've beat the EDIS HK launch just by a couple of days :)
  • @rm_ said: - looks like you've beat the EDIS HK launch just by a couple of days :)

    We are cheaper however :p

    I know it looks odd, but basically to meet the magic 7 we needed to cut some corners for KVM :) Less VPS in a box + bandwidth costs play a big part in the prices we set, resulting in this really out of place plan/pricing just to cater to LET.

    • no IRC is a huge turn-off;

    Being a DDOS target worries me too much, and we don't see demand for actual IRC usage in asia region, or am I wrong?

    • does instant rDNS work on v4/v6?

    Yes via SolusVM, updated post

    • why not post a test IPv6;

    Updated post, missed it out.

    • it's super impressive that you have an LG;

    I actually own the network, so there's some magic I can do :)

    You're much much cheaper, even I'm buying from you. :P

    Perfectly no offense:3

    @Kenshin said: 99.5% uptime guarantee

    Though it's perfectly common in SEA here, it means like 1.83 days of downtime per year.

    @Kenshin said: SingTel, SingNet, PCCW, NTT

    Why is HKIX removed:3 In fact, I notice that the test IP is single-homed with Singtel right now.

  • KenshinKenshin Member
    edited July 2012

    Dropping the HKIX link in favour of IP transit with PCCW, will be adjusting the network quite a bit this week so we're not advertising the prefix through PCCW or HKIX until changes are done. I have a big fat pipe with SingTel so it works just fine for the week.

    NTT route got filtered by mistake. Should be in now.

    Edit: Added back PCCW for the time being, had some complaint about odd traceroute from Australia.

    Hi @William, where is your Asia LET offer (link)?

    @NanoG6 said: Hi @William, where is your Asia LET offer (link)?

    He has not launched it yet, afaik it's sometime this week. Also don't ask for a link, posting such link in another provider's thread wouldn't be very nice, so just watch the LET topic index, you won't miss it :p

  • LAKidLAKid Member

    @HalfEatenPie can you post a tracert from where you are?

  • In OAS' defense, their blend is vastly superior to Sunnynet's (Who Edis was using last I checked)

    Food for thought.

  • @Kenshin said: Being a DDOS target worries me too much,

    Webservers are a bigger DDoS target than most IRC usage.

    I was asking because William said EDIS is cheaper and Kenshin bought from him.

    Ups yeah I forgot about that (link), sorry @Kenshin
