Miami LEB Providers

I'm trying to see if anyone knows a LEB provided based in either Miami or possibly Atlanta since most of my traffic gets routed to ATL first, but I'm really looking for Miami. Thanks!

This message was placed here to warn you that whatever you do, do not interact with any VolumeDrive related network ever in your life, it could be fatal for your uptime.

BurstNET is the only LEB provider I know of in Miami (aside from BurstNET resellers). @PAD VolumeDrive is in Jacksonville/Atlanta.

    @KuJoe

That entire area (Florida) just makes me want to hide in a cave for the rest of my life, networking wise BurstNET/VolumeDrive deserve to be banned from the internets for causing thousands of people continual packetloss on an hourly basis.

When I heard they had expanded to Florida I screamed, having one location oversold and shoddy is one thing.. but then they expanded to the UK..within a week, same thing. Then they expanded to WC..within a week, same thing. Then they expanded to Florida..within a week, same thing.

    You get the picture.

  • @PAD my burst.net chicago vps has been more stable than most of my US LEBs over the same period.

I've had another experience entirely, packetloss on an almost daily basis with BurstNET and when going with VD even worst because although they seem to manage to keep packetloss events to a few times a week, when it does happen, we're talking 90% packetloss and servers practically unreachable for upto 24hours.

Would never recommend anyone to go anywhere near them guys.

vps6.net recently opened a location in miami. contrary to some comments here. I have had great service with them.

Idk, I have had a Volumedrive Ded in Fl for almost a year now with very few problems at all.

  • Ramhost Atlanta location if its ever in stock.

@Jack exactly, just not reliable for a production environment if you ask me, but I have high standards.

I run a free shared webhost using a VPS from VolumeDrive in Scranton PA, in Burst's DC, I hardly notice any packetloss to it. Also, to answer your question, for Tampa, I would go with either http://securedragon.net or http://flvps.net. I would prefer SecureDragon since @KuJoe is amazing. For Miami, FL I recommend BurstNET.

If you have ATT Uverse, most of your data gets routed through ATL from FL, but I get 45ms to SecureDragon, and 35ms to a server in ATL.

  • @Night Scary! Uverse is offered in my area and I am in Central Florida.

  • We have nodes in Orlando.

  • nunimnunim Member

So it looks like for Miami my only real choice is BurstNet? I looked on the VPS6 page and didn't see anything about Miami, not to mention all the iffy things I've heard about VPS6. I already have a few servers with SecureDragon and just got one in Orlando thats why I was trying to see if I could find something even closer, Orlando is pretty good though.

I guess I'll just have to see if I can find some quality Atlanta hosting.

    Thanks for the recommendation :-)

We restock on weekends if we have anything.

I just did our annual manual accounting audit for node usage in Atlanta and discovered a bunch of new openvz slots in Atlanta we didn't know we had out there (and we will be launching KVM in Atlanta in a couple of months too) ;)

We'll probably bring up another TinyVZ node within the next couple of weeks to restock those.
