I am at node "xen" (that's node name). It took around minute or so to get into SSH but now when I am in I can "su" between accounts relatively normal. I did one dd test (only one - I won't do it more to avoid additional HDD hammering) for LET informational purpose:

    dd if=/dev/zero of=test bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync && rm -rf test
    16384+0 records in
    16384+0 records out
    1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 313.068 s, 3.4 MB/s

It's actually shame how relatively good host with decent business reputation turn into a crap again.

I think all the Xen users are on one node.

Yeah, I really loved DMBhosting before all this happened. I know Daimon is having personal issues and stuff.. but still.

@DotVPS said: It his rack isn't it?

I believe so, but I doubt he will disclose any of the information.

P.S. My backup is finally finished.

  • He lives near me but i don't know him personally enough to be able to get in contact with him, sorry fellas.

  • This is dead...

And if it isn't, I won't touch them anymore.

@Infinity said: What node are you on, what location?

I'm on an openvz node in UK, it's leased from jtodd's company I believe (which was cancelled/renamed weeks ago!). There haven't been real problems since I got it, I did a dd test before:

    4096+0 records in
    4096+0 records out
    268435456 bytes (268 MB) copied, 2.47044 s, 109 MB/s

    Download speed:
    (53.4 MB/s) - `100mb.test' saved [104857600/104857600]

But mentioned problems others are having currently are considerable though, it needs an explanation of what are they planing to do.

    Nah, that was months ago.

I guess the OpenVZ node must be alright but the Xen node is bad. Just backup your data is all I can say.

That's my mistake then sorry :p
backup was updated already, even though I didn't think they will close down, they were very active in support tickets, actually the fastest support I've ever seen in LEB,
let's wait to see if the problem is sorted.

Well Daimon is still here, I did get a message from him. I'm not going to disclose personal information but there's still stuff going on but he said that he'll go look at whats going on and try to rectify it.

From what I understand he left two people in charge temporarily until his issues were sorted, but either way he's going to look at the problem :)

  • Not gonna cut it I know but sorry guys. My daughter has been in hospital since 2nd week in January. She still is now , however we had ample staff to cover or at least I thought. I have now taken an hour to sort out some major issues , the billing system is now running again and the issue with the xen server is a hdd has gone in the raid. We will be replacing the hdd ASAP however plz note although we are in Jtodds racks we own the hardware so it is our responsibility not his. I understand this I frustrating and I will be getting some staff to help over these issues but anybody with kids will now everything else comes second and I honestly thought it would be looked after. Lesson learnt nobody knows your business more than yourself.

    AGAIN SINCEREST APOLOGIES GUYS

  • @daimonb Pictures or your lying.

I joke, best wishes for your daughter.

  • Sorry to hear about your daughter @daimon, I hope everything works out okay for her.

That's good news as many people here have one year prepaid package but I am wondering if it's worth to bother with and setup it again as dmbhosting future isn't most clear.

Can anyone try IPv6? Does it work?
Does "curl ipv6.google.com" give any result?
For me it stopped to work after node went down for short time 2 or so weeks ago and even now after OS reinstall still doesn't work.
