Which OS?
Debian 7 (Wheezy) does not work. Debian 8 (Jessie) does.
Guys, I can see a lot of people trying to install CentOS 7, which requires a minimum of 1GB RAM! Please do check that the OS select is suitable to run on 512MB RAM.
You can also check the console during the install for any problems. Sometimes there is the odd 'press enter' type of thing going on to go to the next step in case there is an issue downloading the OS files over the network.
Looks like the problem has been fixed and Jessie provision is fine now.
It seems I was wrong as for Jessie provision, the issue is still here
Retrieved file /dists/jessie-updates/main/i18n/Translation-en.bz2
.I was trying to install Centos 5. Tried again with Ubuntu, got stuck again. Apparently, third time was charm and installed perfectly.
Click 'continue' and it wil proceed. Sometimes there are a lot of simultaneous provisions which occasionally cause problems.
I own 3 paid VPS' and this free one has the best PHP bench results, funny
Relatively new hardware perhaps? You should try out our SSD nodes :-).
I have mine now for over 3 months and it's still pretty good.
I would but your prices are out the LEB range!
@Sandro, Not exactly. We have a coupon for 30% off to LET that would push our smallest plans into LEB range.
Free nodes are back in stock again.
We are limiting supply to 20 VMs per day for now.
vpsbit free vps actually have a good performance. really don't expect that. haha.
Out of stock already?
Always run out quickly.
Open console, and press continue.
Here is my result, pretty impressive as this is free!!
AND AMAZING UNIXBENCH SCORE, just see a similar score on Vultr 3.4Ghz once, but I destroyed that vps after, just regret... now see another one :P
thanks for the free node, very appreciate. btw, this is xen hvm right? I checked by virt-what....
here are a bit questions.
where can I check the bandwidth left? It's just 100GB, would like to know how much left there.
Also, in next month, how can I get 50 more sitecoin? Automatically receive in the carrotpay or should claim myself somewhere? pls point me.
again, thank you dude.
Wtf? i7 core? I got old xen 600 mhz core last time...
you got a bad luck dear... :P
looks like 3 month ago, it has been i7... see bench above me
I got it 3 months back as well.
Stock now
Nope, still no stock.
It seems they had, sorry
Will release more tomorrow. Check and again.
Hi,
where can I check the bandwidth left? It's just 100GB, would like to know how much left there.
Also, in next month, how can I get 50 more sitecoin? Automatically receive in the carrotpay or should claim myself as i register?
You've to go to the free offer page and claim the 50 carrots every month over the button on the page. Exactly like you did it the first time when you registered for a free VPS. Every month.
Thanks, will try next month.
Any idea about where to get bandwitdth info?
Nowhere. There is no real bandwidth monitor. Use vnstat to monitor traffic.
are they going to shutdown (or suspend) the server after running out of bandwidth? until next month?
I don't know. I never used my 100 GB because I just host a few web pages and not much more. Anyway I believe as long as you don't go crazy and use a lot more bandwidth and hog the node there won't be any problems or so I've been told.
What will you be using 100GB /month on for such a small VPS?
No we cap your server to 1Mbit indefinitely if your usage is exceeds 100GB /month. And we cap it even more if you are maxing out 1Mbit 100%.
There is stock now. 10 left at the time of this post. ETA before stock runs out, <30mins.
