Hi,

we setup a new node group with shared storage for live migration with solusvm. We written a small script to migrate VMs between to servers with libvirt migrate command and the solusvm api for nodeid change process. We want to test this setup with a few users.

We need 5 more for our setup...

Serverbear reviews: http://serverbear.com/9810/filemedia
VPS info: https://www.filemedia.de/powerbox_micro.php

3 months for free, after that you can buy or cancel with out anything. We only want a small review about the vps here in this discussion. Not more!

Discount code is limited to 5 servers.

What to do?

1) Go to: https://www.filemedia.de/manager/cart.php?gid=12
2) Enter discount code: "lowendtalk" (code is limited to 5 users with only 1 PowerBox Micro)
3) Get a free vps for 3 months
4) Write a small review here!

Thanks!

When you say review, you mean benchmark right? Other wise, it sounds like bribing.

    Got one!
    Will do a review soon

EDIT: Too bad it's all in german... But lucky me i do understand german a bit

  • Not only a benchmark, i think a review about all parts of the service. We do over the free months a few live migration between to nodes. If you see anything, take it in your review.

  • " # The supplied VAT Number is not valid # "

It's not asking me for a VAT number and I'm from the US, not the UK, so a VAT number shouldn't be needed, yeah?

  • Got one! I will review asap!

  • You don´t need any VAT for this test, free :)

  • edited September 2012

It won't let me register without it.

  • got one, would be nice if everything is in english :)

  • @MannDude Don´t use company style, use a privat registration.

  • edited September 2012

And I assume all 5 slots have been filled now. Fuck my life.

Yeah, it's still demanding a VAT despite all the fields being filled in properly with my correct info, I chose the US, put in my US address and info....

Yay! Finally got it to go through, but now it's wanting to charge me so as I suspected the trial slots were filled while I struggled with registration. =[

  • I starting live migration now..
    virsh migrate --live..

  • Thanks for your review. We had few customers with a very high io load (iozone benchmarking :) ), but it should be better now. A box with one vcpu core should be around 100 MB/s.
