This week we are bringing you one heck of deal. It's almost one of those "once in a lifetime opportunities" - that's how good this deal is. All that we ask in return is that you spread the word about VPS Node Box :)

I know that many of you have seen all kinds of crazy deals lately for OpenVZ or even KVM VPS packages that promise allot of resources for a very low price (especially RAM which can easily be oversold with OpenVZ or KVM virtualization platforms), but we don't offer anything like that. We use Xen PV as our virtualization platform and all resources are guaranteed. As you know Xen is pretty much impossible to oversell (the only way to do it would be to run the same kernel on the guest OS as on the host OS and use memory ballooning, but we allow our customers to run what ever kernel they want on their VPS, so if you are on one of our VPS servers you can roll your own kernel).

Our web site is: http://www.vpsnodebox.com
More information about us: http://www.vpsnodebox.com/about-us
Contact page: http://www.vpsnodebox.com/contact-us

Hybrid Cloud Hosting: http://www.vpsnodebox.com/cloud-hosting

Here is the package that we are bringing you this week, with the following resources:

VPS 768
Virtualization Platform: Xen
CPU Cores: 4 (8 Threads)
Guaranteed RAM: 768MB
Swap Space: 512MB
RAID Disk Space: 36GB
Bandwidth: 300GB
Network Speed: 100 Mbit
Dedicated IPv4 Addresses: 1
Available IPv6 Addresses
Control Panel: SolusVM
Monthly Cost: $7 / month

All our Xen VPS Nodes are powered by Intel Xeon E3 CPUs with HyperThreading enabled running at 3.2GHz.

Direct order link: https://portal.vpsnodebox.com/cart.php?a=add&pid=3

To take advantage of this offer use promo code: VPSNODEBOX - it's recurring for life!

IMPORTANT - We will be updating this thread later with ServerBear benchmark information. In the meantime we have here the benchmark from our previous offer (14 days ago) of 512MB VPS: http://serverbear.com/benchmark/2012/08/19/P2TnIhg3BdFkvNp4

IMPORTANT - For all those out there who are shamelessly practicing credit card fraud, we have implemented several layers of protection against you including CloudFlare (we are a certified partner by the way), MaxMind Fraud Detection, automatic activation is disabled and we also perform random verifications by phone. So if you placed your order don't panic if your VPS is not instantly provisioned, because as soon as order verification is complete we will provision it for you.

  • Can this be used for bitcoin mining? ;-)

  • @rds100 If you have to ask then you already know the answer. Thank you for asking do.

    bitcoin LOL

  • Well every time that I post one of these offers, if I leave the smallest thing out I get comment after comment with questions. If I make sure that I have included every little detail then I get asked things like in the first comment. He might as well have said: "First post!" ...

Including a link to your ToS in the initial post might help in this regard ;-)
And of course i am not interested in bitcoin mining. It was just a way to ask how much of the 8 vCores you are offering a customer is really allowed to use.

  • @rds100 There are links to our TOS at the bottom of each page and in the main menu, I doubt anyone could miss it.

We are using Xen as our virtualization platform, and while each customer gets full access to the CPU, not one customer can abuse the CPU or take it over. It is how Xen was designed, and if you've seen it happen at other providers on Xen it was because it was poorly configured. We have customer running Counter Strike and Minecraft servers, and they are doing so without bothering anyone else. So go ahead, sign up and run what ever you want to. It's just like on Linode, they have it configured in a similar manner. As long as you are not doing anything illegal with the server like hosting copyrighted materials or using it to spread SPAM, you can do what ever you want.

I know that CPU isolation is an issue on OpenVZ (that's why you see weird things like 800MHz Quad Core Xeon CPUs that are in fact 2.4GHz), and even with KVM it can be a pretty big problem. With Xen we can deliver consistent performance for every customer.
