@Taz_NinjaHawk Yeah but I mean...that high? Still gotta be a nice controller right?

  • I shot them an email about their OVZs and got a very speedy response from Nick. He says these prices are subject to change later, but these are intended to be their new standard prices, and that if you sign up at these prices they won't change for you. I have my doubts about the level of service they'll be able to maintain, but the call of the LEB is strong. I'll probably end up trying one out for a month or two.

  • Unlimited IPS? could have a mix of blaclisted ones

You wont get as many IPs as you expected.
    unless you get unbeatable reasons.

  • One of the best offers from a good provider in recent days.
I don't have a budget/need to add new vps at these locations, so i am sadly letting this pass ;|

Don't pay yearly to new/shady/suspicious companies.
Don't pay yearly for offers that seem too good to be true.
They also offer it at $4.99 per month, which looks more sane to try out...
...but the package also includes 3xIPv4, seriously?
    This can't posssibly work long-term, I'd say.

Considering that they are giving out unlimited IPs for dedicated servers, I'm guessing they are sitting on a large stock of un-used IPs.

I dont really agree with you,i just think this is a certain promo method to attract potential buyers.
If everyone can request UNLIMITED IPs from them,ARIN will cry because IPv4 is running out.:P

so you mean maybe BudgetVM.com is new/shady/suspicious company?

I donot think so ,BudgetVM.com Enzu Inc Created:2007-07-04

Own all of their own hardware and software like 5 Owned License No Branding WHMCS

same price with nodedeploy.com big deal
    @ http://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/3935/phoenix-4.95-1024mb-ram-60gb-hd-1gbit-port

but better reputation and big DISK\MEM\Swap\IPs

so maybe I should cancel my nodedeploy vps and get one from BudgetVM

  • Giang,
Can you run this command on your box: dd if=/dev/zero bs=1M count=1024 | md5sum
and post the result back here?

The new offer is OpenVZ and the old was Xen but expired :D Haha

  • I will pass all offer from BudgetVM.
Didn't have good experience in the past. When I'm with their XEN, it's too slow, and sometime reinstalling OS from SolusVM took a long time.

Sometimes my vps suddenly rebooted, and sometimes suddenly disconnected.

    16384+0 records out

I also found bad review about them but mostly from long a time ago. I think @Andri have some xen package with dd 2xxMB/s.

imo budgetvm performance isn't bad. teh cpu is a little bit lacking for whtaever reason, at least on xen, but it's not that big of a deal.

  • The dd results didn't parse into the report, fixing it now.

dd 1Mx1k fdatasync: 1024+0 records in
    1024+0 records out
    1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 2.79049 seconds, 385 MB/s

256MB, cancelled for better performance and cheaper price at Uncle Sal's. But over all, it was (just) okay.
